I was deciding on what else I wanted to add to this site.
And I thought about something that would help those that read this. I really feel that I should do this so if it helps you
at all, let me know in the guestbook. Each week I'll try to put up a new topic.
Suffering

"I will walk with you and be your God, and you will be My people."
(Leviticus 26:12)
You may have heard the story called "Footprints." It's
the story of a man who had a dream. In his dream he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Scenes from his
life flashed across the sky. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand -- one belonging to him and
the other to the Lord. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that only one set appeared during the lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him, and
he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, You said that once I decided to follow You, You'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand
why You weren't there when I needed You most. You said You would never leave me." The Lord replied, "My son, My
precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During Your times of trial and suffering, when you see only
one set of footprints, it was then that I carried You." Can you catch what this story is saying? No matter what
kind of situation you go through, the Lord is going to be right there with you. Don't forget it. You never have
to walk alone again. He's the One who walks with you.
"The Lord does what He pleases, in haven and on earth, in the
seas and the deep oceans." (Psalm 135:6)
"I, the Lord, have been your God since you were in the
land of Egypt. You should have known no other God except Me. I am the only One who saves." (Hosea 13:4)
Since Jesus is your Savior, that means He is your rescuer from
darkness to light. You have been delivered, and you are victorious! The only way this can happen is with
Jesus in your life. Jesus is the only way to God, and God is the only One who can save. In fact, Romans
10:13 says that "anyone who calls on the Lord will be saved." Not only is God the only One who can save you from sin,
but He is the only One who can rescue you from evil. He is the only One who can save you from suffering and disease.
He is the only One that can truly make you well, the only One who can heal and restore your health.

And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require
of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul. --Deuteronomy 10:12
